Removing stains from Nubuck is usually difficult as Nubuck is one of the hardest leathers to clean. Newspaper inks and dyes caused by blue jeans are the two most common staining problems with this leather. However, I have had some good results in cleaning this leather with a cleaner that is designed just for Nubuck. The level of success is based on two things, the severity of the stain and whether there is any type of protective coating. Newspaper ink can contain dyes that can be absorbed into the leather. If that's the case, then having that area re-colored may be your only solution. I recommend having it cleaned by a professional that has expertise in cleaning Nubuck. It is important with this type of sensitive leather, where the cleanability is extremely low to keep up on the protective coatings that have been designed to help prevent permanent damage. This cream should be reapplied every 6 months or even more if heavily used. I hope this answers your question.
