I have a nubuck leather sofa set which has not been cleaned for a number of years, around 5 years. The single sofa is spoilt mainly by body sweat. I have tried to clean a small area by using fine abrasive paper and this seems to clean the leather well. The nap is also obtained by gentle rubbing with a suede brush. Do you think I have damaged the nubuck by this method of cleaning? The colour has not faded where I have cleaned and the body sweat stain has been completely removed.
