I’m not sure what caused the water stain or what kind of material we are working with here so this is kind of general. Water stains can be from two possible sources. First it could be from contaminated water. Depending what the contaminates are will make a big difference in if it can be cleaned and corrected. A simple cleaning solution on a white cloth and some blotting may remove this. Otherwise I recommend a professional cleaning. Second, if the material is cotton it may have browned out or a water ring may have formed from cellulous browning. This can sometimes be corrected with a mild detergent and then using an acidic solution. Be sure to not over wet the area for this is what causes cellulous browning. It may be necessary to accelerate the drying with a hair dryer on medium being sure to not over heat the material. Good luck!
