Inside - Fabric Protection Fabric Protection
We've all heard the terms "DuPont, Teflon, Stainmaster, 3M, Scotchgard and Stain Release. What's the difference and what should you expect from them? Most likely when the carpet was new it had some type of soil and stain repellant applied to it from the factory. These protectors do a wonderful job at repelling soil and stains but, they wear off, and some of the protection is removed each time it's cleaned. One of the things we have done is independent testing of all the different brands and have compared them to each other. We know which products perform better in which areas. Unlike franchises we can use whichever product we feel will best protect your investment.
Here's a list of different types of protectors available in the market.
Just to show you some of our own independent testing I've posted some of the pictures we've taken of our tests. We used paper towels and pieces of cotton, treated them with the different protectants and then spilt different things on them to see the repellency. Click on the thumbnail below to view a larger version of the pictures. Below are pictures taken 24 hours later. As you can see, we care about knowing what we are using is the best in the industry. |
